Requirements:  

• Duration & scope of a thesis:  

• Bachelor’s level: 6 months, 18 ECTS 

• Master’s level: 6 months, 30 ECTS 

• Application, research proposal and theses can be written in both English and German 

 

Application:  

An application requires the following documents, and be sent to Fulvia Oldrini: fulvia.oldrini@business.uzh.ch  

• Research proposal:  

• Should address the research question(s), motivation, methodology, potential bibliography, expected results of the study.  

• Curriculum Vitae (CV) 

• Transcript of Records 

• Written application must be submitted at least one month before the desired starting month. 

Topics:  
Theses with respect to financial accounting research, including topics such as:  

• Economic consequences of financial regulation and standards 

• Incentives behind specific accounting choices by firms 

• The effects of accounting on market competition 

• The causes and effects associated with IFRS adoption 

• Others
